Paris-based developer Microïds have announced that Moto Racer 4 is currently under development and is currently scheduled to launch on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles some time in 2016.
The Moto Racer series was created back in 1997 by Paul Cuisset (Darkstone, Flashback etc.) and has sold a total of seven million units. Much like previous titles in the series, Moto Racer 4 will be a fast-paced arcade experience and will enable you to participate in Motocross races, and according to the press release, you also have the ability to drive high-powered cars too!
Moto Racer 4 is being developed by Artefacts Studio and the game will utilise the Unreal Engine 4. “Moto Racer 4 fits in perfectly with Microïds’ new strategy, which is to concentrate on ambitious video game projects with an international scope, such as Syberia 3 and Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders.” Explains Elliot Grassiano, Microïds Unit VP. “This latest offering wil put the spotlight back on a legendary video game franchise that has been very popular among gamers”.
Microïds promise more details on Moto Racer 4 will be released very soon, it's worth noting they will be at this year's Gamescom and so we may not have to wait long to see some gameplay action or for some more details at the very least.
