Auto Age: Standoff is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) styled car combat racer which is very much inspired by classics such as Interstate '76, Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8 and is currently scheduled to release on Steam this Autumn.
Set in 2080, you'll do battle against wheeled gangs on the Western Amercian wastelands with a cell-shaded art style which is reminiscent of a colourful 80's cartoon-like world. Your combat vehicles, which come in different class sizes, can be upgraded both offensively and defensively by collecting energy deposits. Weapons are certainly not in short supply as developer Phantom Compass have currently included 10 such as the missile launcher, artillery and sentry turret with more on the way.
Auto Age: Standoff features a single player story mode, but the real focus is on the game's multiplayer mode which includes local split screen support. So far two multiplayer modes have been confirmed: online networked battle (MOBA) and Duel (PvP). We'll bring you more on Auto Age: Standoff as soon as we know more.
