Another titan of the contemporary performance car world – the monstrous McLaren P1 – will eventually be incuded in Assetto Corsa, a Kunos Simulazioni employee has revealed.
As announced by AC developer Kunos Sumulazioni's Licencing Project Manager, Marco Massarutto, the petrol-electric hybrid halo model for McLaren Automotive will be eventually added to Assetto Corsa's slowly growing car roster.
It's unknown at this exact moment in time, though, if the P1 will be one of the 35 cars available in the retail version of Assetto Corsa, or as additional DLC content.
Whilst the racing sim won't be the first game to virtually bring together the LaFerrari and McLaren P1 in the same game – that accolade belongs to the Xbox One-exclusive Forza Motorsport 5 – this newly-announced extension of Assetto Corsa's McLaren licencing deal means it will be the first computer-based racing game to feature the two highly publicised hypercars.
No official or estimated release dates have been announced at time of writing, though we'll be covering the P1's PC simulation debut as soon as the mighty Macca is made available in Assetto Corsa.
