News Mario Kart 8 scheduled for global release on May 30th 2014

Nintendo has confirmed Mario Kart 8 will be given a global release later this year on May 30th.
As revealed by Ninteno president Satoru Iwata in the most recent Nintendo Direct, the much anticipated family-friendly racing game will be launched exclusively on the Wii U in just over 16 weeks time.
This announcement comes shortly after it was confirmed by Nintendo that Mario Kart 8 had been scheduled for a then-unconfirmed date in May later this year..
It has also been confirmed that the Koopalings – the septet of Bowser's offspring-cum-minions – will be featured in Mario Kart 8 as playable characters, as showcased in the commemorative trailer below.
