Codemasters has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming arcade racer Onrush which is set for release on June 5 across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles (with a PC version to follow).
Onrush is looking to stand out from the crowd of traditional racers by doing away with the finishing line in favour of objective-based gameplay which puts players in the thick of the action at all times (if you discount the respawn counter!)
The trailer entitled “Race, Wreck, Repeat” showcases several of the title’s environments which bear more than a resemblance to Motorstorm (not surprising since the game was developed by the very same group).
Take a look at the latest trailer below.
As the trailer highlights, each track has multiple routes, meaning players can pick and choose their path which may include navigating some tight pinch-points and avoiding general obstacles in the environment. Players can choose to stick to the low ground, or race higher up and take down opponents from above by crushing them.
Onrush is available to pre-order now, players can also get their hands on the Deluxe Edition which includes eight additional vehicle designs complete with gold and black liveries, extra Crashtag artwork, and Track Tombstones all exclusive to the Deluxe Edition. Players who pre-order the game on PlayStation 4 will also get early access to the beta before it opens up to the public across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in May.
