The limited-run Lamborghini Centenario has been announced as the cover car for the next entry in the Forza franchise.
Declared after the special edition supercar's official unveiling at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, it was also revealed that more information on the Forza game in question will be revealed at the E3 entertainment expo later this year.
It's highly likely this mysterious Forza game will be the next installment in the open world, Playground Games-developed Forza Horizon series.
Such speculation is further strengthened by the Horizon franchise's links to Lamborghini: the most recent entry in the series, Forza Horizon 2, prominently featured the Lamborghini Huracan on its box artwork.
The Lamborghini Centenario is the latest in a long line of commemorative Lamborghini models. Built to mark what would have been the 100th birthday of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, the Aventador SV-based Centenario is powered by a 770hp 6.5-litre V12 engine, and has a claimed top speed in excess of 217mph. A total of 40 will be built (20 coupes and 20 roadsters), and all examples had been accounted for prior to its Geneva unveiling.
