Kunos Simulazioni is eyeing up potential new car licence acquisitions for Assetto Corsa, and is looking to the AC community to help them decide which ones to go for.
Through the means of a poll on the official Assetto Corsa website, avid AC players and fans of the can vote for the car brand they'd most like to see being featured in the (currently in open beta) PC sim, out of a selection of 20 marques ranging from Mazda to Maserati, and Audi to Aston Martin.
The Italian racing game developers are also looking for feedback on what genre or era of cars players would be most interested in actually using in the game, with an example cited in the official announcement mentioning that whilst "many of us like and appreciate vintage cars, but in reality just a minority of us actually choose those models when we go on track".
Kunos also reiterates the point that any brands or cars that are beyond the reach of Assetto Corsa due to licencing arrangements – such as EA owning the sole rights to use Porsches in racing games, or Turn 10's temporary exclusive acquisition of the LaFerrari licence – can't be voted for in the poll.
Should you wish to vote for the manufacturer you'd like to see the most in Assetto Corsa, the sim's "What car brands would you like to drive in Assetto Corsa next year?" poll can be found here.
