The Gran Turismo documentary 'KAZ: Pushing The Virtual Divide' has won an award by the Game Marketing Summit
Nominated in the 'Best Long Format Featuring Promotional Content' category, KAZ was presented with the top-level Gold prize at this year's Game Marketing Awards.
Sony Computer Entertainment America's Ken Chan, who commissioned Tamir Moscovici to produce and direct KAZ, was the Sony representative who accepted the award at the San Francisco-based event.
Gran Turismo 6's 'First Love' campaign – which culminated in Mario Andretti's 1948 Hudson Hornet stock car being recreated in real life and in the game – was also nominated for the 'Outstanding Overall Marketing Campaign [for] Core Games', though lost out to The Last of Us, Madden NFL and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in this category.
Forza Motorsport 5's various promotional campaigns were also nominated at the 2014 GMAs, though the only one to win any accolades was the zoeframe 'FilmSpeed commercial, with its Bronze awards in the 'Best Use Of Music In A Promotional Piece' and 'Thinking Outside Of The Box' categories.
