Grip Games has announced that its insanely difficult and chronically addictive mobile platform racer Jet Car Stunts, apparently one of the highest rated racing games on the mobile platform originally released in 2009, is getting a remake for PS4, PS3 PS Vita, Xbox 360 and Steam this May.
Jet Car Stunts was renowned for its challenging gameplay that had you controlling a jet car on increasingly tricky platform levels, performing gravity defying stunts, jumps and corkscrews while trying not to plummet off the elevated track. Think of it like Trials with jet cars and stylised blocky graphics, and you get the idea.
The new release will feature new cars, 36 testing tracks and three game modes, along with updated HD graphics, damage modelling that makes the car literally disintegrate on impact and asynchronous multiplayer.
No word if Jet Car Stunts will support Sony's Cross Buy across PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, but it's good to see Sony once again supporting third party indie developers – particularly on the PS Vita, which is still criminally lacking in quality racing games.
