Ubisoft's ambitious open world MMO racer The Crew is here at last, so what else could we do other than get behind the wheel of the triple screen TeamVVV Test Rig and hit the open road?
Alan's first play-through takes us through some of the early stages of The Crew as we blow it wide open. You'll see him test driving his first car, participate in some race mission events and take in the sights as he explores the monumentally massive open world US map. Of course, he also provides us with some of his initial impressions, but the substantial scope of the game means it will take a while before we can pass an informed judgement.
As ever, the PC is the optimum format, allowing for a silky smoother 60 fps frame rate and improved visual clarity that makes a difference to the gameplay experience compared to the compromised console versions.
Of course, this is only the beginning of our extended road trip, so expect plenty more comprehensive coverage on The Crew over the next few weeks, including some of Alan's extended Sunday drives some of our older viewers may remember from the TDU2 days.
It has to be said: rewatching these makes for an interesting look at the evolution of the TeamVVV Test Rig from its humble roots.
