Heavy Metal Machines is an upcoming free to play multiplayer PC game by Brazilian developer Hoplon Infotainment which mixes heavy metal music and vehicular combat and takes inspiration from the likes of Rock n’ Roll Racing and Twisted Metal.
The fast-paced action plays out with teams of four going against one another with the goal of transporting a bomb to the other team’s base to win that round. However it’s not quite as simple as that as players will need to fill certain roles in order to be successful.
There are three roles in Heavy Metal Madness, first up is the Interceptor who specialises in preventing enemies from taking the bomb. Interceptors are strong, can take lots of damage and excel in pushing opponents. Their goal is to take the bomb from the enemy.
The Support role focuses on helping others to deliver the bomb by not only protecting the bomb carrier but also by repairing them on the go. Finally the Transporter role has the goal of delivering the bomb to the enemy base, transporters have increased resistance, speed and agility to help them achieve their goal.
Throw in a host of different powerups into the mix with interesting names such as the electroblaster, thunder tow and the indoctrinator and you have quite the cocktail for a fun and unique experience.
Currently Heavy Metal Machines is on course for a release in Q2 of 2017 and the development team are offering players the chance to sign up for the upcoming closed beta on the official website.
