Hardware: Rivals, a fast-paced vehicular combat title, has been released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console and is currently free for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month.
Hardware: Rivals, the sequel to Hardware: Online Arena released on the PlayStation 2, will pit you up against others in a range of vehicles from the slower but lethal tanks to the faster and nimble buggies. You have standard primary weapons and the much more powerful secondary weapons at your disposal as you take down your rivals in an arena style combat situation.
The development team, Connected Content Group (CCG) at Sony have used the feedback gained from the Hardware: Rivals beta in October, 2015 to tweak their game. Since the beta the dev team have also added a new deep core mining facility map entitled Outpost 92. Additionally, CCG have announced more maps will be coming to Hardware Rivals shortly. To keep things fresh, CCG will be constantly working on weekly community events, and mixing up the game modes, weapons and rewards.
