Gran Turismo Sport is looking set to get a wet weather update soon.
In a recently released official Gran Turismo video (seen below), Esports racer Coque Lopez talks us through his hot lap at a very wet Red Bull Ring.
His Peugeot RCZ Gr. B car is fitted with “Heavy Wet” tyres which suggest we could well have other rain options such as “light” and “medium” but that’s pure guesswork on my part.
Check out the video below.
Of course, Gran Turismo developer Polyphony has used their Esports platform to showcase new tracks, cars, and features on several occasions before they get added to GT Sport shortly after for everyone to play.
It’s currently unknown if the inevitable update will include rainy conditions at the Red Bull Ring track only, or whether it will apply across a range of Gran Turismo tracks.
We’ll bring you more very shortly.
At this point I was expecting it to come with the PS5 Edition of GTS. Looks really good visually, not sure about wet-compound grip/-behavior and it really needs additional in-the-wet tire sounds.
