Caged Element recently shared a trailer with the gaming community for their upcoming Rollcage-inspired racer GRIP which showcases destructible weapons and structures.
The trailer entitled “Dance of Destruction” highlights the fast-paced and frantic action found within GRIP which is shaping up very nicely indeed. The most interesting segment of the trailer comes right at the end where we see a rocket fired at a distance structure which then explodes sending debris raining down on to the race track. Check out the action below.
Having destructible structures that interfere with the racing action like as it was with Rollcage opens up new possibilities and tactics for players looking to get the edge over their rivals and is a welcome addition in my opinion. GRIP should provide some fantastic fast-paced arcade action to the racing genre with its local and online multiplayer modes, the racer will even feature split screen action too.
GRIP landed on crowdfunding site Kickstarter earlier this month and, at the time of writing, has currently raised $149,510 CAD of its $567,000 goal from 3,413 backers with just over two weeks left of its campaign to run. After being successfully greenlit on Steam, GRIP is currently being developed for the Playstation 4 and PC platforms.
