As with most major game releases, Gran Turismo Sport is getting the full Limited and Collectors Edition treatment enticing you to spend more money for a slew of bonuses.
Never have there been so many editions of a Gran Turismo game to choose from. To help you decide, here's a handy guide to all the different versions of Gran Turismo Sport currently available.
First up is the coveted Collectors Edition. As with previous Gran Turismo Collector's Editions, the Gran Turismo Sport Collector’s Edition includes an exclusive miniature car model; in this case of the Mercedes-AMG GTS. It also comes with "a detailed car-lover’s guide written by the experts at Polyphony Digital themselves". Oh, and it comes in a bigger box too.
We can't say we're surprised to see a Gran Turismo Sport steelbook edition. Practically every major film and game release now gets a steelbook release, which has taken away their exclusivity somewhat. Still, the Gran Turismo Sport steelbook does look classy.
A separate Bonus Edition of Gran Tursimo Sport will include the same digital extras as the Steelbook Edition which are as follows:
- GT Sport Starter Pack (8x Cars) – Gain immediate access to cars within various race class, including GT4, Rally, and more
- $1MM In-Game Credit – Build and customize your personalized garage
- Livery Sticker Pack – Bonus livery of numerous brands and logos
- 30x PS4 GT Sport Themed Avatars – Based on selected GT Sport featured vehicles
- Racing Helmet – For your customized driver profile
- Pre-order bonuses
It's worth noting that these extras have only been confirmed for North American somewhat, but it seems unlikely that they will change too drastically for Europe.
Digital Deluxe Edition
Those who prefer their digital can pre-order the Gran Turismo Sport Digital Deluxe Edition for £59.99 on the PlayStation Store which will grant you the following bonuses: Pace Car Pack, dynamic PS4 theme Livery Sticker Pack, Japan Theme Pack, America Theme Pack, Europe Theme Pack, Chrome Racing Helmet and 1,000,000 credits.
Pre-ordering Gran Turismo Sport from any participating retailer will give you access to the following cars: Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car, Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3, and Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1.
Just to make things more complicated, there are also retailer specific bonuses. Gamespot are offering a Chevrolet Corvette Group 3 and Nissan NISMO GT-R GT3 N24, whereas Amazon are offering a Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3, Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1, and Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car as well as $500 million game credits.
