According to an estimate from VGChartz, Gran Turismo Sport's sales have surpassed the two million milestone.
Apparently, the milestone was hit towards the end of November last year, so sales will have risen a decent amount since then one would imagine. The estimate has GT Sport's sales at a very impressive 2,098,514 after over half a million copies were sold for the week ending November 25 (meaning it has taken just six weeks since launch for the title to sell over two million copies).
Of these 2,098,514 sales, over half of these came from Europe (1,313,255, 63%) and just 14% of these were sold in the US clocking in at just 285,898 units by comparison. Elsewhere, an estimated 184,087 units were sold in Japan (9%), and Europe's breakdown sees an estimated 267,975 units sold in the UK, 221,046 units sold in Germany, and 181,863 units sold in France.
Gran Turismo Sport released for the PlayStation 4 on October 18 and has seen countless updates since which have improved many aspects of the game, chief among which was the recent introduction of a single-player campaign.
