With a week to go till its digital release, Sony has revealed the first initial details of the Gran Turismo 6 demo.
Slated to be ready to download from 9.00AM British Summer Time on Tuesday 2nd July from the PlayStation Store, it has been confirmed that the GT6 follows a pattern that apes the process used in the GT Academy finals.
A majority of the demo revolves around a concept that shouldn't be too alien to GT players who've experienced the infamous Licence Tests: those who try out the demo will be able to "progressively learn the skills required to push very expensive track monsters at full speed" around the Silverstone Circuit.
If you also reside in the GT Academy regions (France, Italy, UK, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, Germany and Russia), you'll get the chance to set your fastest lap around Silverstone to a lap time leaderboard, where the fastest will be chosen to progress further through the GT Academy process.
Thankfully, anyone and everyone who completes the challenges in the demo will be rewarded with what's being described only so far as "special bonus content".
The GT6 demo will remain active until 31st August, though players who'll want to to have a go at progressing through this year's GT Academy will have until 11.59 BST on 28th July to post their fastest time on the leaderboard.
