According to a recent interview by JeuxVideo with Polyphony Digital's top man Kazunori Yamauchi, the improved Course Maker, which was the most anticipated fan feature, is still coming for Gran Turismo 6.
When asked whether there would be any new customisation options for Gran Turismo 6, Yamauchi answered (via translation thanks to a member of the GTPlanet community):
"For now, the only planned update concerning the course maker”
When Gran Turismo 6 was in development, the new Course Maker quickly rose to the top of the most anticipated features for the racer. It promised fans the opportunity to create their own tracks with much more freedom than before when compared to the very limited Course Maker found in Gran Turismo 5.
The Course Maker never made it to Gran Turismo 6 at the game's launch and so fans waited patiently for the promised feature. A year passed and still nothing was heard, yet another year went by with no Course Maker, many fans gave up on the feature altogether (me included). So, to hear the Course Maker is still coming is surprising to say the least considering the game released 18 months ago now.
We'll keep you updated on the status of the now infamous Course Maker, fingers crossed we'll see it at some point this year.
Are you still looking forward to the Course Maker?
