There's good news for Mario Kart 8 fans as Nintendo plans to release further content. According to their recent financial statements, Nintendo will release more Mario Kart 8 content through to March 2016 at least.
A snippet from a Nintendo statement reads:
“For “Nintendo 3DS” and “Wii U,” in addition to maintaining the performance of already-released titles with strong sales potential, new titles will continue to be introduced in order to further expand the installed bases. Specifically, by sequentially introducing additional download content for blockbuster titles such as “Mario Kart 8″ and “Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U,” we aim to keep these titles played more actively.”
We're hoping the new content will be another bunch of new courses, karts and tracks as in the recently released DLC pack, but it's anyone's guess. We'll keep you updated on Mario Kart 8's future plans as soon as we know more.
