News Free ‘The Ridge’ DLC announced for Spintires: MudRunner

A new piece of free downloadable content has been announced for the off-road driving simulator Spintires: MudRunner.
Titled "The Ridge", the main highlight of the free DLC is the all-new "Scavenge" game mode it introduces to Spintires: MudRunner. In this mode, players will need to find log piles from up to three randomly-selected "scavenge locations", and transport the raw timber to the required destination.
Making the mode even more challenging is the new map that the Scavenge setup even more challenging. No details on the map size were given, though publisher Focus Home Interactive has confirmed the map's defining feature to be "a towering mountain ridge that divides the map in two areas".
Finally, the The Ridge DLC introduces two new vehicles to Spintires: MudRunner, which are currently only known by their "D-538" and "B-6A" names. Going on the naming conventions of vehicles already in Spintires: MudRunner, it's likely the pair of vehicles will be based on the MAZ 538 military tractor and the GAZ 'Tiger' 6A armoured personnel transporter.
A definitive launch date for the free DLC haven't been disclosed at time of writing. However, Focus Home Interactive does intend for The Ridge to be released on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before the end of May 2018.
