According to recent comments from Turn 10, Forza Motorsport 6's 450 cars will be available at launch on the disc (or its digital equivalent) and the game will also be doing away with micro-transactions too, something that proved unpopular when it first appeared in the last Forza Motorsport title.
Bill Giese, executive producer at Turn 10 Studios had a recent interview with Official Xbox Magazine, and when asked "The number of cars is 450. Are they available at launch?" Giese answered simply “At launch, yep on disc”. He also confirmed that nothing was locked behind any pay walls or DLC.
Giese further confirmed no micros-transactions for Forza Motorsport 6 (at least at launch anyway) stating: "Everything is tuned for 'no tokens' at launch." So whether or not we'll see micro-transactions creeping into the game after it's launch remains to be seen.
Forza Motorsport 6 will release on the Xbox One on September 15 in the US and September 18 in Europe. It will feature 450 Forzavista cars, 26 environments (10 new), 24 car multiplayer and new leagues. The game will run at 1080p resolution and at 60 frames per second.
Do you think micro-transactions will inevitably creep into Forza Motorsport 6?
