Forza Horizon 4 receives its Series 14 update today which celebrates the game’s 1st birthday, aww.
The stand out additions of the Series 14 update are a number of new vehicles including a pair of McLarens in the shape of the 600 LT and the 720S. Elsewhere, you can expect to see the newly added 2018 Volkswagen #94 Volkswagen Motorsport I.D. R Pikes Peak, as well as the Ford F-150 Prerunnner DeBerti Design.
There are two Showcase remixes to get stuck into. The first – A Contest of Giants – will allow you to do battle once more with Horizon’s hovercraft pilot, this time driving the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 during a spring downpour.
The second Showcase remix – Night Flight – enables you to race a jet-black plane in a jet-black Lamborghini on a warm summer night (make sure you’ve completed the regular version of The Delta-Wing Showcase event first to unlock the remix).
The Series 14 update adds new editing tools to Route Blueprint, allowing you easier editing and tweaking of your Routes. After testing a Route, you will be able to enter Checkpoint Editor mode.
In this mode you can:
- Jump to any checkpoint in your route and edit its width and placement
- Completely redraw your route from any checkpoint, including changing the endpoint
- Convert a circuit race to a point-to-point, or vice-versa
Today’s update adds 11 new Achievements worth a total of 250 Gamerscore. The new Achievements are retroactively unlocked if you have already completed them.
Other changes include the ability to now sell duplicate cars won in Horizon Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins, for 50 percent of the vehicle’s base value. There are also new ways to search for Event Blueprints through the Creative Hub tab in the Pause Menu. You can now search for specific car themes, classes, or even routes that feature a specific starting location besides filtering by route length and circuit type.
The update also adds 9-digit share codes to all Event Blueprints enabling you to get a specific Event Blueprint with ease.
