News Forza Horizon 4 is the fastest-selling game in series

Forza Horizon 4 is now officially the fastest-selling game in the series according to this week’s UK physical charts.

That’s not to say it topped the UK physical sales chart this week, however. As a matter of fact, it resides in 3rd place behind the multi-platform juggernauts of FIFA 19 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (certainly not anything worth complaining about).

Forza Horizon 4’s physical sales narrowly topped 2016’s Forza Horizon 3, while this might not sound massively impressive, once you factor in the ever-increasing digital market, these figures are eyebrow-raising. According to reports, Forza Horizon 4 was only just beaten by the latest entry in the long-running Assassin’s Creed series too.

“We’re thrilled that Forza Horizon 4 has been so well received by gamers across the UK,” said Xbox UK director Harvey Eagle. “Set in beautiful, historic Britain and made by British studio Playground Games, Forza Horizon 4 is the fastest-ever selling game of the Forza Horizon series in the UK according to the latest GfK data. We’re also seeing a huge uplift in Xbox Game Pass subscriptions and engagement. These achievements are a testament to the craft and ambition of the latest release of the Forza franchise, the world’s biggest racing IP.”
