The long-running Forza series has traditionally only been available on the Xbox platform ever since it launched on the original Xbox over a decade ago. That may soon change however, as a new rumour suggests that Forza may finally be making the leap to PC this year.
According to Chinese site WPDang, trusted sources have told them that Forza Motorsport 6 will make its way onto the Windows 10 Store along with the long-rumoured Forza Horizon 3, which has yet to be officially announced. Speculation on its release recently mounted with the apparent leak of a Forza Horizon 3 trailer.
Along with Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 6, WPDang also reports that Gears of War 4 and Scalebound will be getting a PC release.
Apparently it's all part of Microsoft's strategy to expand the Windows 10 Store, which is said to be the exclusive outlet for Forza on PC. Last week Microsoft revealed that Remedy's anticipated Sci-Fi shooter Quantum Break will be available on both Xbox One and PC at launch, so the news that more Xbox franchises could be making their PC debut certainly follows the trend.
Of course, these are all rumours until we get official word from Microsoft, but WPDang has been reliable in the past with Microsoft and PC rumours. If they turn out to be true, expect Microsoft to reveal all at E3 2016.
There's definitely demand for Forza on PC so there's massive potential to expand the series' reach, but Forza proven to be a system seller for the Xbox in the past due to its exclusivity. Would you welcome Forza finally making the jump to PC?
