Social features have been a recurring trend in the current crop of next-gen racers, with the likes of DriveClub and The Crew pummeling you incessently with their pledges to provide community support for cooperative and competitive online racing. Turn10's Forza Horizon 2 is no different, as this new trailer released to coincide with Gamescom showcases.

Unsurprisingly, Forza Motorsport 5's DriveAtar system makes a reappearance, with ghosts of your friends that repliate their driving styles populating the streets even if they're not online. Online play has also been made seamless, with the removal of lobbies allowing you to dip in and out of multiplayer sessions instantaneously for those extended road trips.
And if you still haven't grasped that Forza Horizon 2 has the community strongly in mind, don't forget that car clubs will now support up to 1000 members, as the trailer helpfully reminds us.
We'll be bringing you some Forza Horizon 2 gameplay sessions directly from the showfloor, so watch this space.
