The Ford Mustang IMSA GTX racing car will be coming to Forza Motorsport 7 as free DLC later this week.
Set to be introduced to Forza Motorsport 7 tomorrow, the Ford Mustang IMSA GTX will also be the first racing car to be released as free DLC for the racing game.
It's expected the IMSA Mustang will join Forza Motorsport 7's 'GT Racing Reborn' category, which contains a broad array of Group 5 and IMSA GTO-spec racing cars. The Mustang GTX's IMSA connection is also likely no coincidence, considering the Forza franchise's active partnership with the North American motorsports body.
Joining the release of the Ford Mustang GTX DLC is an accompanying June content update for the title. More detailed information on the update will be disclosed at a later date, though developer Turn 10 Studios has confirmed an array of features and additions will be coming to Forza Motorsport 7 via the update.
In addition to the Ford Mustang IMSA racer, Forza Motorsport 7 players will also be able to acquire the game's Hoonigan Car Pack. Originally a pre-order incentive for digital editions of Forza Motorsport 7, the Hoonigan Car Pack will now be available as a standalone premium addition – though Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pass owners will have automatic access to the content as part of their Car Pass purchase.
New details on Forza Motorsport 7's June content update are expected to be disclosed in tandem with the update's official release later this week.
