The first official footage of Porsches in Gran Turismo Sport has been released by developer Polyphony Digital.
Showcased on the official Gran Turismo YouTube channel, the new 'Porsche is coming to Gran Turismo' video depicts the current 991-generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS – at time of writing, the only Porsche confirmed for inclusion in Gran Turismo Sport.
Though the clip primarily consists of replay footage, the video does also depict what appears to be direct feed gameplay from the cockpit camera perspective. Audio effects for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS are featured in the trailer too, with the main focal point being the recreation of the 4.0-litre flat-six powerplant's distinctive engine note.
Despite the release of this trailer, it's unknown if or when Porsches will be made available in pre-release demo builds or beta tests prior to Gran Turismo Sport's scheduled release later this year. It's also yet to be seen if the Porsche 991 GT3 RS will be the only Porsche to be featured in Gran Turismo Sport – though Porsche has recently stated "more exciting Porsche content" for Gran Turismo Sport will be showcased "in the near future".
