We’re mere days away from the release of F1 2019, in light of that fact, Codemasters has released a series of small gameplay videos showcasing various aspects of the upcoming officially licensed Formula One title.
The very first video showcases the much-anticipated Formula 2 content the game has to offer. In the video (below) we get to see some wheel to wheel action along with gameplay from a scenario introduced with TV-style commentary.
Take a look below.
According to a recent blog entry from Codemasters, the full 2018 Formula 2 season is “playable in F1 2019, separate to career mode, and all F2 gameplay complies with the features and rules of F2”.
Formula 2 cars are also available to drive in Time Trial, Grand Prix mode (on all tracks, not just the official F2 tracks), as well as a “variety of Formula 2 championship modes”. Additionally, players will experience Formula 2 content as part of F1 2019’s career mode, where we’ll get to hear some commentary from Alex Jacques and Davide Valsecchi (as seen in the video above).
A post-launch patch will also bring unranked and LAN multiplayer support for the Formula 2 content, currently no dates have been specified.
F1 2019 features all the official teams, drivers and all 21 circuits from the 2019 season. The title also brings the inclusion of Formula 2 content for the first time. The F1 2019 Legends Edition gives players the chance to play three days early on June 25 2019, with the Anniversary edition to launch on June 28, 2019, across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
