In our latest video here at Team VVV we take our very first look at the PC version of Codemasters' recently released Formula One racer F1 2015.
Since its launch the PC version of F1 2015 in particular has suffered from a number of bugs which has angered many fans. Codemasters have responded by releasing patches which fixed many issues including crashes, multiplayer problems and replay camera oddities along with many more issues. From our first look gamplay it was clear to see that F1 2015 for the PC still had a plethora of issues.
Straight from the off Alan noticed the viewpoint felt a little off and the frame rate was very poor, a few seconds later and we see a flickering wheel in front of us, it is obviously clear that this game, despite the patches, still has lots of issues indeed.
Just when you think things couldn't get any worse, Alan then suddenly has no control over the Williams car which heads towards a barrier then freezes completely for a few seconds before hitting the aforementioned barrier. Not surprisingly, Alan states that this is the worst running Codemasters game he has ever played on the PC and I think that's probably a fair comment considering their reputation for smooth running racing games.
Furthermore, before the end of the first race we get to see some of the braking marker boards pop in and even a very ugly glitchy post-race sequence, all in all the PC version seems a complete mess sadly. Alan tries his best to complete a race but keeps on getting taken out by the AI drivers which made for some very frustrating times. I would be very surprised if Alan ever plays the PC version of F1 2015 again, perhaps it is wise to stick to the consoles versions of the game instead.
