We pit the F1 2011 version of Monza up against the soon to be released F1 2015 version of the same track to highlight just how far the title has come in terms of graphical quality in recent years.
Perhaps the biggest difference however comes not from a graphical standpoint but a technical one – F1 2015 runs at a silky smooth 60 frames per second compared to the 30 or so in F1 2011, the difference is huge. The second biggest improvement for me personally is the lighting, F1 2015 looks better than ever in my opinion, Codemasters have really got across that sunny day feel with the new lighting when compared to the slightly dull palette of F1 2011.
Other improvements of course include the improved shadows and reflections, its also interesting to compare the differences between the rear view mirrors too – F1 2015 is pumping out a lot more detail for instance. Take a look at the comparison video below and let us know in the comments what impresses you the most and what aspects do you feel could be Improved in F1 2015.
