As the racing game genre often neglects road bikes, it's fair to say that Milestone's upcoming new racing IP Ride will play host a number of game bike debuts. The latest addition to Ride's growing roster is one such example.
Italian bike manufacturer Energica has partnered with Milestone to bring the Energica EGO to Ride – a significant addition, as it's the first 100% electric Italian Superbike as part of the growing trend of the electric-powered supersport sector.
Building on the CRP Group's experience in F1 and international motorsports, the Energica EGO's electric motor features 100 kW of power which translates to around 136 hp, but it's the 195 Nm, 0 rpm to 4700 rpm torque that really sets it apart, allowing the bike to achieve 0 – 60 mph in less than 3 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 150 mph.
You can see an overview of all its specifications in the trailer released below showcasing the impressively detailed modelling of the Energica EGO:
While it's encouraging to see bike manufacturers gain more exposure in video games thanks to Ride, these trailers are starting to get a tad repetitive. Hopefully it won't be long until we get to see some more in-game screenshots and actual gameplay footage rather than a revolving bike model render.
