Evolution Studios recently signed off their development of Driveclub with the unexpected release of 15 VR tracks for the base game.
The update, which I might add is completely free, enables players who don't own a PSVR headset to try out the 15 additional tracks. We of course jumped on Driveclub to see the tracks in a non-VR environment to see how they stack up.
Straight way we felt that the tracks were not quite up to par with the base tracks found within Driveclub, however we were somewhat impressed with the detail considering these tracks were built for the VR platform after all.
The tracks did feel a little on the short side and some looked more complete than others in terms of general life and track side detail. You can see five of the new environments in action in the gameplay video below.
Most of the Evolution Studios team have of course since joined Codemasters and we wait with bated breath to see what they have been up to.
