News DriveClub’s Challenges mode restored

Some may argue it's too little too late, but, slowly but surely, DriveClub is starting to get back on track. With its servers now more stable, the long-awaited Challenges component has finally been restored, allowing you to send and receive time trial challenges to friends and rival clubs. 

Challenges were hastily disabled shortly after DriveClub's launch following its notorious server problems from the volume of players trying to connect.

It was also only by chance that I discovered the Challenges were reinstated, too, as Evolution has yet to formally announce their return. After a quick test, I successfully managed to send a Challenge to a friend, but I will test it more thoroughly over the next few days for our forthcoming review now that DriveClub's components are almost in working order.

Challenges were marketed as one of DriveClub's key selling points, so it will be interesting to see how it enhances the experience. It comes at a critical time, too, as there's likely to be a significant influx of new players following the heavily discounted Black Friday Bundle.
