Evolution may have applied the brakes to the season pass, but DriveClub continues to evolve with the release of regular updates. Today the latest 1.21 update deployed, bringing with it a new game mode, more free cars and a host of further enhancements.

Chief addition is the new Sprint mode, which adds 12 new variations of existing tracks playable in Time Trial and Challenge modes to hone your skills.

Just when you thought you couldn't get any more mileage from DriveClub, Evolution has now boosted the Elite driver levels from 66 to 75. Each new level comes with a reward – reach level 66 and you will unlock the Renault R.S. 01 concept car. Don't forget the feisty Ferrari 488 GTB will also be debuting in DriveClub later this month as a free add-on.

Wheel users will also benefit from the update, as DriveClub now fully supports the Thrustmaster TH8PA manual gear shifter, meaning you can now play DriveClub with sequential gears and a clutch pedal for added realism.

Meanwhile, Evolution confirm that they are hard at work developing new tracks and implementing the long awaited private lobby system.

Here's the full update log for DriveClub v1.21, which weighs in at 533mb:
