The “Flying Finland” update has been released for DiRT Rally which brings with it lots of new content, chief among them being the 12 new stages from Finland.
The version 0.8 update also sees the introduction of two iconic rally cars in the shape of the 2001 Ford Focus WRC and the Subaru Impreza WRC from the very same year. Another highlight of today's update is the custom championships which enables you to select the number of stages and the difficulty of AI opponents. Codemasters have released a fresh new trailer for the Flying Finland update showcasing the new stages and cars in action, check it out below.
Elsewhere, the 60's, 70's, 80's, RWD and 2010 class of cars have all had their handling characteristics tweaked. The changes include improvements to suspension and tyres and even some engine and aero enhancements.
Developers Codemasters have also added the standard array of fixes within the new update which rids the game of camera clipping, cars rolling over at the start of PVP races, odd camera angles, gear setups changing between stages and lots of other annoying bugs besides.
You can see all of the new content in the v0.8 update listed below along with all of the fixes too. Have you braved the Finnish crests and jumps yet?
