Codemasters are currently busy working on finalising their v.0.4 update for their Steam Early Access rally game DiRT Rally. The new major update, due out very soon, will see the introduction of the famous Pikes Peak hill climb.
The 'Pikes Peak Pack' will include the full paved version as it is found today and also the mixed surface version of the track as it existed back in 2007. According to chief game designer Paul Coleman: “you'll be able to play Hillclimb in Championship Mode, Custom Events and in our Online Events as well as including it into your Leagues. “
The Pikes Peak hill climb will not feature co-driver navigation to aid you, so you'll need to learn the course if you want to have a successful run. Codemasters recommend saving up a decent amount of in-game credits to purchase a car to tackle the Pikes Peak Hillclimb Championship so you can start without delay.
Dirt Rally surprised us all last month when it appeared on Steam Early Access from out of nowhere. The early access version comes with 36 stages spread across three locations, and there's 17 iconic rally cars from both past and present to choose from. You can also sample Dirt Rally's full changeable time and weather effects too.
Once the game is complete it is expected to sell for £24.99. Alan recently took to the Welsh countryside in our latest DiRT Rally gameplay video which you can see below.
