Codemasters Senior Games Designer Darren Hayward recently caught up with Daily Star and provided some comments on a potential PS4 Pro update for DiRT 4.
“PS4 Pro is awesome and it’s a great opportunity for us because obviously, we’ve got a lot of experience developing for high-end PC’s for things like anti-aliasing and hi-resolution,” said Hayward. “It’s something we’re already supporting on PC, so PS4 Pro is definitely something that interests us.”
Sounds promising then, however don’t expect an update to coincide with DiRT 4’s release in June, Hayward explains. “I don’t know if we’re ready to talk about what’s next, in terms of working with PS4 Pro, we’ll release DiRT 4 and see.”
We recently learned (much to our surprise) that DiRT 4’s handling will be even more realistic than DiRT Rally. On the subject of DiRT Rally, we are getting ever closer to its PSVR DLC add-on release, which is something that Codemasters are not ruling out for DiRT 4.
DiRT 4 will release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 9.
