Dino Zamparelli, the former Ginetta Junior and Formula Renault champion who we interviewed last year, has been signed on as a driver for Marussia Manor Racing.

With the Formula 2 series now dissolved, the 20-year-old Bristolian racing driver has now moved to the GP3 series, though Marussia Manor has yet to announce who'll the other two drivers in the squad will be.

With Marussia Manor Racing having been fairly successful in the three years it's been competing in the GP3 series – the team has finished no lower than fifth in the Teams' Championship, with the peak being 2011's third place in the standings – and with lightning-quick reactions like this to rely on, though, Zamparelli should have a decent platform to work from in the championship.

The team's connections with the Marussia F1 team (John Booth is the principal of the F1 and the GP3 outfits) are also worth pointing out, as the Formula One team has historically allowed the most succesful of the feeder team's drivers be rewarded with a short spin in a fully-fledged F1 car.
