Desert Bus, an obnoxious driving mini-game which was part of the unreleased Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors Sega CD game from 1995, is apparently getting a sequel and may be available to play on the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR.
Illusionist Penn Jilette announced that he is working with fellow magician Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software to create Desert Bus 2.0. According to Pitchford, the game will be set in 1992, just as it was with the original, except will benefit from improved graphics and will “probably” include VR support for the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR.
Jilette stated that Desert Bus 2.0 will be joined by a host of other games as part of a set and will aim to raise money for charity. In the original Desert Bus you had to drive a bus through on the desert highway at a maximum speed of 45 mph, the game apparently takes around eight hours to complete and cannot be paused, ouch!
