Codemasters has announced its upcoming mobile racing game F1 Mobile Racing, ahead of its official launch later this year
A collaborative effort between Codemasters and Eden Games, the free-to-play F1 Mobile Racing is claimed to provide a "rewarding and thrilling F1 racing experience" on supported mobile devices.
Much like its console and PC counterpart, F1 2018, the free-to-play F1 Mobile Racing will contain all of the cars, teams and circuits from the 2018 Formula One World Championship.
For the first time in a Codemasters-developed Formula One title, F1 Mobile Racing will allow players to create and customise the look of their own in-game car. Complementing the customisation options is a car development tool, which will presumably be derived somewhat from the similar systems seen in the mainline Codemasters Formula One games.
It's unknown at time of writing what gameplay modes and features will be represented in F1 Mobile Racing. Judging by the wording of the officiall announcement, it appears F1 Mobile Racing will be a predominantly multiplayer-focused title.
A definitive launch date isn't known at time of writing, though Codemasters has confirmed F1 Mobile Racing will be released later this year for iOS and Android devices. More details on the title are expected to be disclosed shortly.
