Rally gamers rejoice: we finally get to see an actual car model in Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo.
Showcased in an all-too brief teaser trailer (remember those short Ride reveal trailers? Looks like we can expect similar teaser videos for Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo) is the Citroën DS3 with a special Record Livery, which will make its video game debut in Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo.
Also, be sure to watch the trailer until the end for a tantalysing tease of Pikes Peak – let's hope the engine sound heard at the end turns out to be in-game.
First appearing during Rally of Alsace in 2013 to celebrate the achievements of rally legend Sébastien Loeb, the car will be unlocked by playing the Sébastien Loeb Experience (presumably the game's career mode) – a challenging game mode created by the rally driver himself.
The DS3 represents one of 60 cars that will feature in Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, which will include an assortment of modern-day and iconic classic rally cars.
Furthermore, Milestone also recently released a new screenshot providing a further glimpse of Sébastien Loeb rally Evo's lighting technology, this time at the Italian San Remo rally stages. You can see how the stage differs at dawn, midday and dusk, but curiously not at night which makes us wonder if all locations support night time rallies.
Visually, Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo is shaping up nicely, but we'll have to wait and see if it plays as good as it looks. Milestone tout Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo as a simulation, so they certainly have high aspirations. Hopefully some gameplay footage is around the corner.
Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo will be sliding onto PS4, Xbox One and PC this Autumn where it will face off against WRC 5 and the recently released Dirt Rally, in what promises to be a vintage year for rally game fans.
