News Cigarette Racing announces one-off Vision GT Concept speedboat

Cigarette Racing has revealed the one-off Vision GT Concept, a high-performance speedboat, inspired by the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept car.

Unveiled in full at the Miami International Boat Show, the fifty foot long Vision GT Concept was created in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and Polyphony Digital, and has been cosmetically enhanced to ape the AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept car designed specifically for Gran Turismo 6.

Such aesthetic alterations range from the prominent Mercedes-Benz AMG and Gran Turismo logos and the 'Alubeam' metallic silver paintjob on the hull, to more subtle upgrades like the carbon fibre and Alcantara additions to the powerboat's interior.

To further differentiate the 50 foot speed boat from the flagship Marauder SS on which it's based, Cigarette Racing has upped the power of the vessel's twin Mercury Racing engines from 1,350bhp to 1,650bhp. Combined with the 453kg saved over the standard hull's 6,441kg tonnage through weight-reducing components, these upgrades allow the Vision GT Concept to theoretically reach speeds in excess of 140mph.

Cigarette Racing will showcase the Vision GT Concept at the Miami International Boat Show until February 17th, by which time it's expected an affluent new or existing Cigarette Racing client will have purchased the $1.5million one-off powerboat.
