Diddy Kong Racing Adventure was supposed to be the sequel to the much-loved Diddy Kong Racing (developed by Rare on the Nintendo 64) but sadly didn't receive the go-ahead for completion.
Developer Climax pitched Diddy Kong Racing Adventure to Nintendo back in 2004 and it was intended for release on the Nintendo GameCube some time thereafter.
The title enabled players to ride animals and drive vehicles such as rhinos and ostriches to jet skies and planes across a range of different game modes through a hub world.
Footage of the work in progress demo recently surfaced (see video below) with commentary from PtoPOnline's Andrew Borman who reveals many of the game's details. Let us know if you have, or indeed had, any interest in a sequel to Diddy Kong Racing in the comments section below.
