Stainless Games have recently added a final update to the Carmageddon: Reincarnation Steam Early Access version. This is the very last update before the game releases for PC on May 21 with Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions to follow in the future.
Neil Barnden aka Nob from Stainless Games explains that the 6 car limit in multiplayer games has been chosen in order to make for a more stable and smooth multiplayer experience. The game was designed around this six car figure from the beginning although Nob explains the dev team did try to increase the number but they wasn't happy enough with the results.
While the game still remains in public beta stage you have the opportunity to take advantage of the 'Complete Carmageddon Collection' offer. By buying the Early Access beta you'll get the original Carmageddon (with the Max pack and Splat pack), Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now and Carmageddon TDR 2000, for a total of four Carmageddon titles.
