News Bathurst confirmed for Forza Motorsport 5, Xbox One Racing to compete in Bathurst 1000

Avid fans of Aussie motor sports now have an extra incentive to acquire Forza Motorsport 5: the legendary Mount Panorama 'Bathurst' circuit will feature in the Xbox One-exclusive racing game.
An all-new track to the Forza franchise, Turn 10 (the studio that develops the Forza Motorsport games) has high ambitions for its authenticity and realism in the Xbox launch title – Creative Director Dan Greenawalt goes as far to say that his team of game designers "can now precisely reproduce the characteristics of every corner, straight and detail to sub-centimeter accuracy".
Whilst we've only got one screenshot to go on, what's been showcased of Forza Motorsport 5 so far suggests we don't need to take that comment with a pinch of salt – in pure visual terms, FM5 is perhaps the current standard bearer for next-gen gaming's graphical potential.
The Forza/Bathurst connection doesn't end there, though, as Xbox Australia has announced it'll be fielding the third Triple Eight Race Engineering-prepped Holden VF Commodore V8 Supercar at this year's Bathurst 1000 race on October 13th, under the 'Xbox One Racing Team' banner. Piloting the Xbox Holden will be multiple touring car champion Andy Priaulx and the Swedish DTM driver Mattias Ekström.
Oh, and this pretty much guarantees that at least one Holden Commodore V8 Supercar will be present in Forza Motorsport 5's presumably extensive car roster…
