News Barrett-Jackson Car Pack will be Forza Motorsport 7’s last Car Pass DLC

Seven new premium cars will be added to Forza Motorsport 7 next week, as part of the final installment in the title’s Car Pass DLC programme.

According to the official statement, the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack contains an array of vehicles that were “hand-selected” by the car auction house. It’s also said the seven cars have either been sold by Barrett-Jackson in prior vehicle sales or were owned by a member of the Barrett-Jackson team.

Full details on the car pack’s contents will be revealed closer to release, though it is known the DLC will predominantly feature customised models. These range from a Chevrolet Chevelle SS that’s reportedly owned by the Barrett-Jackson CEO Craig Jackson, to an array of hot rods based on Ford and Plymouth chassis.

A pair of incredibly collectable American performance cars will also be featured in the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack. The Cooper Type 61-based Shelby Monaco King Cobra is the only example of its kind that’s survived to the present day, and the Plymouth Cuda Hemi Convertible is considered to be one of the most sought-after classic American muscle cars.

The Forza Motorsport 7 Barrett-Jackson Car Pack is scheduled to go on sale on 15th January 2019, in tandem with the release with the game’s January 2019 content update. Standalone pricing hasn’t been disclosed at the time of writing, though owners of Forza Motorsport 7’s Car Pass will have automatic access to the DLC as part of their Car Pass purchase.

In addition to the car pack, extra free content is expected to be added to the game – with the most likely no-cost addition being the brand new ‘992’ series Porsche 911 Carrera S sports car.
