Ayrton Senna's racing kart and a batch of refreshed circuits will be added to Gran Turismo 6 later this May, developer Polyphony Digital has confirmed.
Following on from the announcement that Senna's 1985 Lotus 97T Formula One car will be made available for players to experience in Gran Turismo 6, it's now been revealed that Senna's DAP Racing Kart will also be added to the game in a forthcoming update.
The kart in particular is one that Senna himself used to compete in the World Karting Championship, which introduced Senna to motor racing outside of Brazil and forged his rivalry with team-mate Terry Fullerton.
Polyphony Digital has also confirmed new versions of the Brands Hatch GP and Monza circuits – as they were during the 1980s – will be added to the game in the update.
The first of two slideshows detailing Senna's life and career in motorsports has also been added to the 'Senna Tribute' sub-page on the Gran Turismo website.
It's currently unknown if Polyphony Digital has any more 'Senna Tribute' content in the pipelines for the sub-page or Gran Turismo 6.
