Slightly Mad Studios are living up to their promise of serving up monthly DLC dishes for Project CARS as part of their On Demand programme with the release of the new Aston Martin Track Expansion.
Included in the pack are three Astons representing different eras of the manufacturer's motorsport history: you get the legendary Le Mans-winning 1959 Aston Martin DBR1 as well as its contemporary equivalent, the 2009 Aston Martin DBR1-2 built to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the DBR1's victory, which incidentally went on to win the 2009 Le Mans series. Rounding off the package is the 2014 Aston Martin Vantage GTE, which is their current contender in the GTE championship. All three cars can be used in the career with new contracts and invitational events.
But perhaps the most interesting new addition is the Mojave track, a private testing ground set in the wilderness of Nevada. Five race locations are included along with a Test Track allowing you to put the Astons through their paces on the track's banked oval, drag strip, hillclimb, skid pan and tight corners.

In addition, this month's free car is the iconic 1952 Mercedes 300SL (W194) and a new pack of community liveries is also available to download, which includes five real-life Zakspeed Capri Group 5 designs plus the official Project CARS SMS-R livery carried by Marc Cars Australia’s Ford Focus V8 silhouette racer in the International Endurance Series.
While development has shifted to working on the inevitable Project CARS 2, Slightly Mad seem to be making it clear that the current game won't be abandoned: earlier this month saw the release of the 4.0 update adding more features and fixes requested by the community, while the game continues to expand with future content over the coming months.
