News Assetto Corsa’s mod editor previewed

2013 is rapidly shaping up to be the year of the PC racing simulation, with the frontrunners Project CARS, Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2 all vying for position.
But whereas Project CARS only has to flash a bit of flesh to gain attention with its gorgeous graphics, Assetto Corsa is largely relying on Kunos Simulazioni's reputation for developing advanced physics, as seen by the astute attention to detail applied to their previous projects such as netKar pro.
What really sets Assetto Corsa apart, however, is that it will include full modding support, and a new video provided by DrivingItalia gives us a glimpse of the various tools as the developers demonstrate the editing interface:
Unfortunately, the video is in Italian so we're unable divulge any exact details of what's being shown – if anyone out there can help out, then do get in touch! Still, the prospect of a racing game as advanced as Assetto Corsa letting the community thoroughly tinker under the bonnet is an exciting prospect indeed.
