The full release version of Assetto Corsa is now available to download from the Steam marketplace.
Building on from the 'Release Candidate' build from a few months ago, the '1.0' version of Kunos Simulazioni's PC sim marks the end of the title's Steam Early Access phase. From now on, Assetto Corsa will only be sold as a fully-fledged racing game.
The move to a full retail build has also brought new features to Assetto Corsa, such as a career mode with "fully blown championship series", new sound effects and updates to the title's tyre and force feedback simulation.
On top of the Assetto Corsa 1.0 release , Kunos Simulazioni used the statement to reveal the title's post-launch content plans: a total of five tracks and 50 cars (some free, others as paid-for DLC) will be brought to the game in the next twelve months, with the iconic Ruf CTR 'Yellowbird' being scheduled for a pre-2015 release as a free add-on for everyone. Kunos has also confirmed a "very important announcement" regarding Assetto Corsa will be made on 31st December 2014.
Assetto Corsa can be purchased from Steam as of today (19th December 2014). Whilst the game will normally retail for £29.99, those who buy Assetto Corsa before 2nd January 2015 will acquire it for £20.99, netting themselves a 30% saving from the regular list price.
